Dead Space 2 is a survival horror game that takes place on a densely populated space station, dubbed the “Sprawl”. The mental illness caused by the marker appears to be permanent and continues to have an effect on the protagonist Isaac Clarke, along with apparent PTSD from his experiences aboard the USG Ishimura. The Church of Unitology and the government will continue to have a large place in the storyline. The game will begin in a hospital on board the Sprawl. Players will witness the horror of the Necromorph infection as it begins in the station.

BioShock Infinite Trailer

The trailer teased a return to the underwater failed Utopia of Rapture, first seen in 2007′s “BioShock.” But last night, we saw “BioShock Infinite” in action, a live demo. This next big thing from Ken Levine’s Irrational Games is something different.

This is the “BioShock” of a floating city, of America in 1912, of a helpful damsel in semi-distress and of something called the Skyline.

The trailer signaled that “Infinite” is a first-person return to the style of idea-driven historical science fiction of “BioShock,” but set in the skies. Later, Levine would tell me that the game is thematically tied to the work he did in first “BioShock” in that it is another game about a strange and yet strangely familiar place as well as about expressive, variable gameplay. He doesn’t call it a prequel though and drew no narrative connections between the “BioShocks” we have played and the one his team is making. “I don’t want to think about that,” Levine said to me. “I don’t think it’s particularly constructive to have that conversation.”

NHL 11 – Ultimate Team Player Trailer [HD]

NHL 11 will be the 20th ice hockey video game in the NHL series, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the series. The game was developed by EA Canada and will be published by EA Sports. The game will be released on September 7, 2010.

New expected clubs in the game are AIK Ishockey in Elitserien, which managed to qualify for the 2010–11 Elitserien season. This will mean that Rögle BK will be removed from the game, as they failed to qualify for the 2010–11 Elitserien season. Also included for the first time will be the sixty teams from the Canadian Hockey League (CHL). It is confirmed that CHL teams will also be a part of the Be A Pro and Be A GM modes, rather than simply being playable in “Play Now” games, like some of the European leagues.

The Lord of the Rings: War in the North is a role-playing game in development by Snowblind Studios. It is based on the events taking place in the northern regions of Middle-earth in the background of the main story of J.R.R. Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings and movies. Players will take control of a hero of the war, and will be able to play through the game alone or cooperatively with other players, with the ability adjust the percentage of experience your co-op partner receives. In a preview article of Playstation Magazine, it has been revealed that you will have certain skills that are upgradeable, characters that can be customized, and dialog will be like Mass Effect without the moral ramifications. The game is scheduled for release in North America in 2011.
