G.I. Joe: Retaliation is an upcoming 2012 action film directed by Jon M. Chu, based on Hasbro’s G.I. Joe toy, comic and media franchises. It is a sequel to 2009′s G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. It is set for a June 29, 2012 release in North America. The film was written by Zombieland writers, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. G.I. Joe: Retaliation features an ensemble cast, starring Dwayne Johnson and Bruce Willis, with Channing Tatum, Arnold Vosloo, Ray Park, Jonathan Pryce and Lee Byung-hun reprising their roles from the first film.

Arthur Bishop (Jason Statham) is a ‘mechanic’ – an elite assassin with a strict code and unique talent for cleanly eliminating targets. It’s a job that requires professional perfection and total detachment, and Bishop is the best in the business. But when his mentor and close friend Harry (Donald Sutherland) is murdered, Bishop is anything but detached. His next assignment is self-imposed – he wants those responsible dead.
