Once there was a utopia of peace and abundance. But this tranquility abruptly ended when the rulers of the leading nations succumbed to greed and ambition, using tyranny to destroy the land and enslave its people. 300 years have now passed and the technological feats of the civilized races have all but been forgotten; save for relics which have survived the passing of time. Stories of the Great War that ended civilization still exist from varying perspectives; spread amongst the various warrior tribes whose ancestors survived those dark times. Though the stories may vary from realm to realm, they each share at least one commonality: the rumored existence of a hidden kingdom that flourished in the aftermath. It is said that the few more virtuous leaders of the warring nations set their differences aside and cloistered in an unexplored and wild land. They turned their backs to the inevitable destruction that was to consume their greedy brothers and sisters. They separated themselves from the war; and in secret, began building a new kingdom… the Kingdom of Providence.

Optimus Prime is a character in the Transformers universe. He is the leader of the Autobots, a faction of heroic Transformers from the planet Cybertron who wage their battles against the evil forces of the Decepticons for control of their homeworld, and by extension, peace in the universe. Optimus Prime is depicted as a heroic, brave and compassionate character who puts all his talent to use to improve the world around him. Optimus has a strong sense of justice and righteousness, and has dedicated himself to the protection of all life, particularly the inhabitants of Earth; he will battle his foes with unyielding resolve to uphold this belief.
Sideways transforms into a motorcycle, and is partnered with the two Mini-Cons, Crosswise and Rook. Crosswise and Rook can ride Sideways in motorcycle mode individually, or can be combined together to form a larger robot that can do the same. In Sideways’s robot mode, each of the two could transform into a head, which, when plugged into his shoulders over the top of his own head, would reveal an Autobot or Decepticon faction symbol on his chest. The two can also plug into his arms, launching his motorcycle tailpipes as pressure-activated missiles.
As originally released, Crosswise revealed the Autobot symbol, and Rook the Decepticon one. A production error in the animated series, however, caused these two to be swapped around, leading to a running change for the toy that saw later releases of the figure adjusted to match the cartoon. (While both versions of Rook look the same — with red-painted shins, the two versions of Crosswise can be determined by looking at the paint on Crosswise’s shins. “Autobot Crosswise” has orange-red shins while “Decepticon Crosswise” has violet ones.)
The figure was later redecoed in yellow and black stripes as Rapid Run for the Transformers: Energon toyline, apparently as a reference to the Beast Wars character Waspinator, who had been turned into the purple motorcycle Thrust in Beast Machines.
Devastator is formed by several of the Constructicons in Egypt who are taken into a merge by Scavenger. He has only one line in the film – shouting his own name. Devastator climbs a pyramid while shooting grappling hooks out of his right arm. He uncovers the Fallen’s sun destroying weapon and then attacks the Autobots. Mudflap is sucked into Devastator’s mouth, holding on just out of reach of the grinding gears. Although eaten Mudflap breaks out of Devastator’s body. Devastator is taken broken into pieces by an experimental ship-mounted rail gun called in for targeting by former Sector 7 agent Simmons.
Starscream is a playable character in the video game, with a white and red ‘G1 Repaint’ unlockable after the player completes the Decepticon campaign. He would appear as a boss alongside with Blackout in the Autobot campaign, where he is seemingly killed by Jazz. In the Decepticon campaign he is playable, and is also featured in many cutscenes and communications. In the Nintendo DS Transformers: Decepticons game, Starscream would kill Barricade and Blackout, steal the Allspark and betray Megatron. Starscream is fought by Megatron as the final boss. Although Megatron kills Starscream, he ends up destroying the Allspark in the process.
Starscream is among the playable characters in the 2009 Revenge of the Fallen video game by Activision.
The game begins with a simple ship. Upon setting sail it’s up to you to select a suitable place to build a village. The islands in this game are no longer boxy, fake looking land structures. In fact, most everything in Anno 1404 looks sharp. The waves look and behave realistically as the ship moves through them and we’re told that if you were to throw your cargo overboard, it would react realistically as well. It’s an entirely new engine powering the game, built from the ground up to do exactly what the developers want it to. One of those things, incidentally, is for the engine to be scalable. That means even a low-end PC will be able to run Anno 1404, though if you have a high-end setup you’ll get the best looking game.
